Greetings,

1) Two new iOS Apps aim to solve different accessibility problems. 'City Lights' is a free iPhone App which will vibrate three times while someone is walking when they near an intersection with a traffic light. The app currently works in San Francisco, Oakland, Chula Vista, Boston, Manchester, Montreal, Victoria and Athens, and other cities are being added regularly. An Android version is also being explored:

2) In addition, have you ever been tagged in a post with a meme & not been able to read it? Ever come across a menu that's not registered in a menu app such as AllAccess? Or wished to read text or get descriptions of other pictures? Well Braigo Companion seeks to solve these problems:

3) We've probably mentioned this before, but this Accessible YouTube page has a very simple interface:
http://cs.unc.edu/~gb/Accessible-YouTube/index.html

4) The VVT podcast appears to be a new blindness-oriented one. In this, their second episode, they review a couple of bluetooth keyboards:

5) Here we have a thorough Review of the 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar:

6) This blog post gives a view of the 'BeSpecular' App through the eyes of someone who's blind:

8) The Eyes on Success podcast turns its focus to the Orbit Reader, hopefully an exciting development for Braille readers everywhere, in Episode #1649:

9) The US National Library Service for the Blind is giving away some Braille music scores they no longer need. Most are for piano, and some are very old. The list will be updated periodically:

10A) CAVI periodically offers CAVI-casts, informative chats about a range of topics. The listing has now been updated. The entire collection is at:

10B) And the 2016 additions are located at:

11) Earlier this year, we told you about a survey designed to quantify the effect of inaccessible shopping sites. The results have been published now, with separate tallies for UK and overseas responders:

12) "Developing with Empathy" is a free course on web accessibility from Google:

14) WikipediaAudio is a website that lets you search for Wikipedia articles and then reads them out loud. It may require a Chrome browser:
